This is a place to remember our friends who have passed away.
Sadly I report Wayne McAtee passed away this week… He was a car guy kind, & sweet man..RIP my dear friend…✌️😢👩💔
This message is from Wayne’s sons: “It is with a heavy heart that I have to write this Wayne passed away on Tuesday February 26th. He was a great Father to us we couldn’t have asked for a better man to raise us. He will be greatly missed.”
Wayne raced a 510 with us for years, and has been a fixture in the vintage racing scene in Southern California for years and a photographer and racer. Rest easy #51
I heard from other friends that my friend John Coffey passed away from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. John was a good friend to me and the Datsun community as a whole. His loss will be felt by all of us who raced and competed with our Datsuns and Nissans. I clearly remember being out with John at Willow Springs and he was running his 350Z and I was in my Roadster, we had a great time.
Upon returning home, I was flooded by enquires as many people were under the impression that there had been an accident on the way home. John, telling a tall tail and dragging me into the middle of it. I wish this was the case here John, you are missed. RIP my friend.

My friend and racing buddy Dennis Currington passed away from complications of a respitory illness this evening… Dennis was a great guy, Datsun fanatic, racer and photographer. Dennis worked for Les Cannaday for many years, and recently had been building websites for several of his racing heroes including John Morton and Tony Adamowicz. Dennis is survived by his wife Janet.
Rest in peace my friend.
